Slade Carter

CV /// Contacts

Slade Carter was born in Australia, and currently lives in the United Kingdom. He considers himself lucky to have heard the Estonian language since birth, when he would listen to his mother and grandmother in conversation. He later studied Estonian, first at a Saturday language school, and then at Tartu University.

Slade has almost 20 years’ experience working in project management, public affairs and policy roles in the health field, and has authored and edited a number of articles and documents on a range of health-related topics.

Slade is interested in many things Estonian, in particular literature, history, nature, folklore and music.

He has recently started translating Estonian fiction, and is also writing his first novel for children.
